Valid Licence Must be Held
Before the start of the first lesson:
You will need to obtain a check code from DVLA so that I can check your details online before your first lesson. Please bring your driving licence with you for the lesson. You can obtain your check code here https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
For all subsequent lessons
The pupil certifies that a valid suitable licence is held to drive the tuition vehicle. Pupils must inform their instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their licence during the period they are receiving tuition.
I have put the following measures in place to make driving lessons as safe as possible for the pupil and myself and to help minimise the spread of coronavirus:
Before and after each lesson, the vehicle will be thoroughly cleaned with antibacterial cleaning products.
Key areas that will be focused on include (but are not limited to): door handles; seat belt; steering wheel; gear stick; handbrake.
Before the start of each lesson
All pupils will be contacted ahead of the lesson to ensure that they are well and have not shown symptoms in the last 14 days.
Payment for the lesson is now required by bank transfer please.
The pupil will be asked to wash hands for at least 20 seconds or use sanitiser gel before entering the vehicle.
The pupil’s temperature will be taken with a no touch thermometer.
During the lesson
I will wear a protective mask throughout each lesson, and pupils are also asked to wear a mask. Pupils are expected to provide their own mask.
No handshake will take place, and social distancing will be maintained outside of the vehicle.
Air conditioning will not be used throughout lessons, but the driving instructor will at all times ensure that the car is well ventilated.
Driving Lesson Cancellation Notice
24 hrs notice is required to rearrange or cancel a driving lesson. If the request is made with 24 hrs notice there will be no charge. Cancellations within the 24 hrs of the lesson start time will require payment in full for the lesson. If the pupil is experiencing symptoms of coronavirus and needs to cancel there is no charge, they would be welcome to resume lessons two weeks after showing no symptoms.
Refusal to Proceed
The instructor will refuse to proceed with the lesson if she has reason to believe that the pupil is any way under the influence of drink or drugs at the time of the lesson.
The instructor will cancel the lesson if the pupil shows symptoms of coronavirus. If during the lesson the pupil develops/shows signs of coronavirus the instructor will terminate the lesson.
Driving Tests may only be arranged with the prior agreement of both the instructor and the Pupil.
The instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the training vehicle for a driving test.
